Seed Swap and Potato Day 2020
Everyone is welcome at Growing Newsome’s annual Seed Swap and Potato Day. This early Spring event features everything you need to get your food growing year off to a great start. Choose from 30 different varieties of seed potato, plus lots of vegetable seeds. There’s also seed planting and craft activities for children, food growing advice, stalls from community organisations, local volunteering opportunities, local food on sale, book stall, fairtrade refreshments and a hot lunch served from 12 noon.
The event is on Saturday 29th February 2020 from 10am to 1pm at Newsome Scout Hall, Newsome Road South HD4 6JJ. Free admission.

The Get Together lunches at Castle Community Hub are for older people in our community to come together, chat and enjoy lunch together. Join us for Christmas lunch on Friday 7th December 2018 from 12 noon.
